About Art4TheHomeless
Imagine... a movement inspired by the arts to open the eyes of Americans to the plight of their own people. Imagine, through art, music and poetry, we are shining a much needed light on our own crisis: HOMELESSNESS Art4TheHomeless was once a blog called Colors of Ink with Blogcharm, which closed down. Nutang, became the new home of Colors of Ink and was renamed Art4TheHomeless, by a really good friend, Samantha Medd. She is now the Co-Founder of Art4TH. Now Art4TH is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization that unites artists of all venues to promote homeless awareness in the US. Art4TH does this through the Art4TH Webzine, a monthly online magazine that features a musician whose music plays throughout the website, a feature artist, and a feature writer while also featuring a homeless relief organization. All artists featured retain their copyrights and all of it is free. Wow so much has happened since I blogged here and I am glad it's still up and not deleted or anything. Art4TheHomeless is now a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization!!! Also, YoungAtHeart, my mother, has passed away. She died on Labor Day 2011 of congestive heart failure. It's been a rough year and a half for me and for her, but she is at peace while I am still grieving. However, I am still going to keep her blog up here--it's something I have of her. I also set up a memorial website for her @ http://www.johnniecrider.com and a blog to get through the grieving process. This was the original Art4TH Blog that started it all and I am glad to still have it. Art4TH now has it's own website, webzine, and soon the blog will be incorporated in it. We also have a new CEO--not me but my good friend and longtime Art4TH Supporter, Hart Deer. The next post will be a letter from him. I will be blogging a lot from now on and I am glad to be back here, where it all started! 3 Comments. Really glad to hear that you're getting somewhere with your organization. My sympathies about your mother, though. » randomjunk on 2011-11-17 09:48:09 Hey Art4thehomeless! I'm so glad you're back! I was worried about you.
