Imagine... a movement inspired by the arts to open the eyes of Americans to the plight of their own people. Imagine, through art, music and poetry, we are shining a much needed light on our own crisis: HOMELESSNESS
Art4TheHomeless was once a blog called Colors of Ink with Blogcharm, which closed down. Nutang, became the new home of Colors of Ink and was renamed Art4TheHomeless, by a really good friend, Samantha Medd. She is now the Co-Founder of Art4TH.
Now Art4TH is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization that unites artists of all venues to promote homeless awareness in the US.
Art4TH does this through the Art4TH Webzine, a monthly online magazine that features a musician whose music plays throughout the website, a feature artist, and a feature writer while also featuring a homeless relief organization. All artists featured retain their copyrights and all of it is free. If you would like to be a featured artist, musician, or writer contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

Update on Mom..I could sue the hospital and get money...seriously
Sunday. 5.24.09 3:48 pm
Mom is supposed to be released sometime soon...or not. The doc's can't make up their minds:
Option one is to keep her and have her do the lung studies and heart cath as a patient.
Option two is to release her and schedule the lung and heart tests for outpatient.
She is so ready to come home and I am ready for her to come home. This Memorial Day Weekend I was going to take her to the Jazz Fest but kinda hard to do with her hooked up to a heart monitor....
Oh yeah, forgot...they haven't decided on surgery either.
The lunch ppl fed my mom shrimp soup the other day. She didn't know that it had shrimp in it and ate some. The docs know she is ALLERGIC TO SHRIMP but after I looked at the soup and saw the shrimp--they were almost the same color as the soup and Mom can't see that good--I went and got her nurse who quickly gave her some benadryl and put my mom back on oxygen since she couldn't breathe. She slept good that afternoon ;) and the doc's were upset that the cafe ppl did that. You know, I could probably press charges and am debating on it.
gosh. how can the nurse and doctor so careless in ur mum's diet?!

do the lunch people work with the hospital specifically, or did they just happen to be giving your mum food? If they were in a position where they should have known about the shrimp, then do.
If not, don't. People make mistakes.
