Imagine... a movement inspired by the arts to open the eyes of Americans to the plight of their own people. Imagine, through art, music and poetry, we are shining a much needed light on our own crisis: HOMELESSNESS
Art4TheHomeless was once a blog called Colors of Ink with Blogcharm, which closed down. Nutang, became the new home of Colors of Ink and was renamed Art4TheHomeless, by a really good friend, Samantha Medd. She is now the Co-Founder of Art4TH.
Now Art4TH is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization that unites artists of all venues to promote homeless awareness in the US.
Art4TH does this through the Art4TH Webzine, a monthly online magazine that features a musician whose music plays throughout the website, a feature artist, and a feature writer while also featuring a homeless relief organization. All artists featured retain their copyrights and all of it is free. If you would like to be a featured artist, musician, or writer contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

The Bank Bail Out Proposal
Monday. 9.29.08 2:39 pm
I found this on the web and totally agree with it.
Dear Mr. President:
I just want to know a few things from you. Why did you devastate our country? Did you know that millions of Americans struggle to get food on the table each night? What about the homeless people? I am talking about the homeless families with children on the streets because their jobs do not pay enough. You ignore the crisis and help out the rich. I am ashamed that you are my president. You want to bail out the banks, but what about the people, your citizens who once trusted you? We are supposedly $700 billion dollars in debt so where did this $700 billion come from to bail out the banks? Did you and your staff donate the money? Are you going to sell your ranch to help the banks out? If we actually have this money, why not use it to get America out of debt?
An American citizen who has lost faith in her country and president

sigh. this kind of thing didn't only happen in the US. it's happening around the world. that is why some people don't like capitalism. capitalism apparently giving the license to the rich to become richer and the poor to become poorer. there's no ethics to the chase of wealth in capitalism.
700 billion is a lot of money.. would be interesting to hear where the gov got that money.
